MJS Investment Partners LLC is a private investment firm seeking to generate above-average returns via two main strategies: (1) concentrated, long-term investments in businesses trading well below estimated private market value, and (2) short-term, event-driven investments, particularly liquidations.

We aim to outperform certain broad market indexes over 5+ year periods, which ideally includes a full economic cycle.

The portfolio manager invests a substantial majority of their liquid net worth alongside clients and is therefore fully focused on activities that generate returns (i.e., time is spent on investment research, not active marketing). Due to this setup, the firm only has interest in working with a small number of like-minded, long-term investors whose temperament and objectives are best aligned with the firm’s strategy.
